                                 Dakota Smiles Mobile Dental Program

     Dakota Smiles Mobile Dental Program is coming to Watertown December 15-19th at the Headstart.  They are a fully equipped dental office on wheels.  Children can receive quality oral health services, including cleanings, preventative services, fillings and oral health education for free.  You are required to bring your child's immunization record.

     Children 0-21 who do not have a dental home (children who have not seen a dentist for two years or live more than 85 miles from a dentist) are eligible.  No child will be turned away for inability to pay.

                                                 Sight for Students

     Sight for Students is part of VSP, Vision Care's national charity program.  Every year we provide free eye exams and glasses, when prescribed, to more than 55,000 children.  We team up with community partners across the U.S. to distribute Sight for Student gift certificates along with a list of VSP doctors in your area.

     These certificates are to be used for children who need vision care and who meet all of the following criteria:

     1.  Family income is at or below 200% of federal poverty level (see guidelines).
     2.  Child is not covered by Medicaid or any other vision insurance program.
     3.  Child is 18 years or younger and has not graduated from high school.
     4.  Child or parent is U.S. citizen or documented immigrant with a social security number.
     5.  Child has not used the program during the last 12 months.
