Mrs. Butler's class did this activity for kindness day, last Thursday! They made high fives for each other! They wrote 5 great things about one of their classmates and then gave it to them!



The 4th graders at Jefferson learned about the different branches of the military and made a presentation for their class.

Jefferson's 3rd graders went to different assisted living centers in Watertown to honor the veterans there on Veterans Day!

2nd grade made thank yous for Veterans and discussed the importance of the holiday!

First grade hosted a breakfast for Veterans! Thank you to all that were able to attend!

Our local Girl Scout Troop will be hosting a food drive from November 11-24. All non-perishable items will be donated to the Salvation Army. Please see the attachment.

Mrs. Johnson's class learned about properties of different types of materials this week. They designed a hat that would protect them from the sun if we were stranded on a deserted island!

Congratulations to Noah for winning the Fire Safety Essay Contest for Jefferson Elementary! He rode to school in a fire truck on Tuesday!

Thank you to Cameron Mack for coming to Jefferson to visit with first grade last week! He showed us all of the cool things firefighters get to do. He even used the ladder truck to go on the roof!
