4th grade had a kickball tournament the last week of school. They had special guest pitchers too! Thank you Dr. Danielsen and Mr. Barrios for joining in the fun!

Second grade had a Sip Sip Hooray party this week to celebrate how well they did on their MAPS testing!


The second graders went to the zoo last week and had a great time learning about the animals!

Mrs. Fawkes Key Club students have been pen pals all year with Dr. Tisher's first grade class. Last week they got to meet each other! They brought pizza, ice cream, juice boxes, and treat bags. The kids loved it!






The first graders had worm day last week! They held real worms and compared them to gummy worms. They got to make dirt cups too!

Today the seniors from the high school went to their old elementary schools and walked through the halls! The 4th graders also did a walk through to celebrate their time at Jefferson!





Mr. Steinhoff, one of our amazing substitutes, bought pizza for the 4th graders at Jefferson!

All 2nd -4th graders get to experience the Junior Achievement Program! Thank you to all of the community members that volunteer to teach with this program!

The third graders participated in the 3rd grade Amazing Race put on by the Codington County Heritage Museum!

Mrs. Nelson's class had a surprise glow party!

Congratulations to Mrs. Stack, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Turbak, and Mrs. Gilmore's classes for having the best attendance in April!

The after school kids at Jefferson entered in the Monster Madness coloring contest through Young Artists for the ages 4-12 years old. This was for anyone in the United States.
All 20 of the students entries were published in the book, which is now in the Jefferson Library.
Makenna in 4th grade, was chosen as the best artist and her drawing is the cover of the book!

The 4th graders went to Pelican lake and got to do so many fun activities!

Emma Ofstehage was awarded the Jeferson PTO Scholarship. Presenting the check to Emma is Kerry Stager, PTO Treasurer. Congratulations Emma and best of Luck at Northern State University!
