🇺🇸 On Friday, our 3rd graders had special visitors from the American Legion! Members came to our classrooms to teach students about flag etiquette—how to show respect for the flag and why it is important. Our students loved learning and asking questions, and we are so thankful to the American Legion for sharing their time and knowledge with us! ❤️🤍💙

Our staff surprised the students this morning by showing up in wearable inflatables for High Five Friday! The hallways were full of laughter, smiles, and LOTS of high fives to kick off the day in the best way.

📚✨ Huge thanks to First Bank & Trust for their generosity! Every 3rd grade student at Lincoln received a brand-new book today. What an amazing gift to spark a love of reading!

🎉📣 Our 4th grade girls brought the spirit to recess with their cheerleading moves! They had so much fun leading cheers, spreading smiles, and showing their school pride. Way to go, future Arrow Cheerleaders!

Students played a syllable game where they read a word, broke it into syllables, and then moved their token on the game board the same number of spaces. This hands-on activity helped them practice reading skills while having a blast!

Students in Mrs. Griffith’s 3rd grade class took on a STEM challenge: build the tallest tower using only spaghetti noodles, tape, and one marshmallow on top!
Each group worked together, tested out ideas, and used problem-solving strategies to create their structures. It was an exciting mix of creativity, teamwork, and perseverance. 👏

New this year: All families, even those recently registered, need to complete the online registration verification through the Campus Portal. This is also where you can fill out the free and reduced meal application. After you log into the Parent Portal, click on "more" on the bottom left, then click "Online Registration." Next, click on the red words next to your child's name. When you are finished with the verification process, the word next to your student's name will be green and say "complete." The meal application is also under "more" then "Meal Benefits." If you have any questions, please call or stop by the office.
As we gear up for school, a reminder on our enhanced bussing services, including direct busing from Lincoln, Jefferson and Mellette to McKinley’s Early Childhood Building as well as a direct bus to the Boys & Girls Club after school. Lincoln Elementary is excited to welcome families to Pre-Conferences on Monday, August 18 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM! Come meet your child’s teacher, drop off supplies, and get a peek at the classroom before the first day of school. Students should have received a letter in the mail from their teacher with a QR code to sign up for a conference time. If you did not receive a letter, please call the school office at 605-882-6340.
