Playing together as a group not only strengthens their musical abilities but also encourages teamwork, focus, and confidence. It’s wonderful to see students growing as musicians while having fun making music together!

Description of a raffle drawing for a playground bench.
First graders explored Ancient Greece in social studies and learned how pottery was used in daily life for storing and drinking water, as well as serving as a form of artistic expression. They also discovered that many pieces of pottery told stories through their designs and patterns.
Students brought their learning to life by creating their own pinch pots using clay. They carefully shaped, molded, and decorated their pieces, just like artisans in Ancient Greece. This hands-on activity helped students connect history with creativity while building a deeper understanding of how art and everyday life were connected in ancient times.

Lincoln Elementary recently had a special visitor in Miss Moran’s 4th grade classroom. Dr. Danielsen stopped by so students could learn more about what a superintendent is and what his job looks like on a daily basis. Students had a great time asking questions about his responsibilities, what he enjoys most about his work, and even some of his favorite things. It was a fun and engaging conversation that helped students better understand how our school district works. Dr. Danielsen truly cares about students and the small but meaningful parts of education, such as building relationships and taking time to connect with kids. We appreciate him visiting Lincoln and making learning a little more personal for our students.
