Miss McCarty's PE students took on Finn's challenge last month - Finn's Mission is a way for students to learn more about heart health while supporting the mission of the American Heart Association! Students and their families learn Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke. ❤️

The student who raised the most was awarded the title of Coach and spent some time helping Coach McCarty with gym classes! So fun! 🤩 💜 💛

Nicole and David, owners of Downtown Donuts 🍩, visited our 3rd graders to share their donut-making process and business considerations. Now, 3rd-grade students will create their own donut designs for a persuasive writing project ✏️, aiming to convince Nicole and David to recreate their designs. The most convincing will get their donut recreated! How cool! 🍩🩷

Have you ever wondered what it means when a student earns an Amazing Arrow? 🤔 Amazing Arrows are awarded to students who go above and beyond to demonstrate being safe, respectful, responsible and kind here at Mellette!

Staff members fill out the slip and students turn it in to their grade level bin in the office. Each Friday, a student from each class is drawn and given a prize. So far this year, nearly 2,000 Amazing Arrows have been written! Keep up the good work, Mellette Arrows! ✨💜
