WMS--Vision and hearing screenings will be administered to 7th-grade students on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. If you do not want your child to participate in the screening, please email the school nurse by Monday, November 27th. Her email address is Shana.Stone@k12.sd.us. If your child does not pass any part of the screening, a referral letter will be mailed.

WMS--Reminder conferences are tomorrow from 1 - 8. These are drop-in conferences (not scheduled appointments)...you can check in with just your child's advisor or see every teacher if you'd like. If you DO NOT have a Campus account to check grades, attendance, and communication, please stop by the office and get signed up!

The Watertown Middle School will be hosting a FREE Girls Night for ALL girls in 7th and 8th Grade on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1ST from 4:30-9:00 pm at WMS. This year's theme: YOU CAN BE ANYTHING! (Barbie) This empowerment event provides a safe environment for girls to discuss topics & participate in activities related specifically to teen girls. The FREE night includes: Free T-shirt, selfies with friends in front of theme specific backgrounds, homemade meal, guest speaker Holly Hoffman from the TV show “Survivor”, tie dying, door prizes, dance party, baby animals, obstacle courses, hair styling and much more! The Watertown School District will be conducting an emergency planning drill on Tuesday, May 30th in the morning from 8 AM – 12 PM. The district offices will be closed for the morning to the public. The public is asked to avoid the area of the high school as much as possible during these hours, as an influx of emergency responders will be present. We appreciate the cooperation of law enforcement and other first responders to assist the school district in it’s safety planning.

WMS--It is hard to believe, but it is time for our 8th graders to think about becoming freshmen at WHS. To help prepare our 8th graders for the transition to the high school, they will be taking a tour during a block of time on the morning of Thursday, May 4th. Be sure to ask them how it went! The WHS principals will follow up with a Q & A visit to WMS later in the month. WMS--The WMS Spring Showcase will be Monday night, April 24th, from 6:00 - 7:30. The swing choir will perform at 6:00 followed by orchestra and then the jazz band. Art will be on display the whole night. Destination Imagination will be selling root beer floats.

Kindergarten Round Up for all day, every day Kindergarten is for children who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2023.
