We had an incredible turnout for High Five Friday today, with so many amazing moms showing up to give high fives and spread some Friday cheer! ๐ The energy was contagious, and the smiles on our students' faces said it all. A big thank you to all the moms who helped make this morning unforgettable. Your support makes Lincoln School such a special place! ๐๐

Introducing Lincoln's new principal, Becca Briggs!

Who doesnโt love ice cream, popsicles, and reading? Mrs. Boettcherโs class made the most of the last few warm days by enjoying a good book outside, all while savoring a cold treat.

๐๐ฅ Huge thanks to the Watertown Fire Department for an incredible fire safety activity with our third graders! The students had the opportunity to practice important skills, like crawling through smoke and safely opening windows to escape. Weโre grateful for your dedication to teaching our kids about fire safety in such a hands-on way! ๐โค๏ธ #FireSafety #CommunityHeroes #WatertownFireDept

Some of our thoughtful 4th graders took the time to create special cards for Mr. Jason in honor of Custodial Appreciation Day! Their kind words and creativity really brightened his day. Thank you, Mr. Jason, for all your hard work keeping our school clean and welcoming! Youโre truly appreciated!

On Friday, Mrs. Hanson's third graders tackled a fun and challenging math activity by planning a seating arrangement for game night! Guests could choose to play one of four different games, each requiring a different number of players: Game A had 2 players, Game B had 4 players, Game C had 5 players, and Game D had 10 players. The students had 16 identical tables, and each table could seat one person on each side.
Using the multiplication skills theyโve been practicing, students worked together to plan the seating while considering the number of players and tables available. This hands-on project was a great way to connect math to real-life problem-solving!

This past Wednesday, Mrs. Griffith's class had the pleasure of welcoming a special guest reader, Lauren, who is home on leave with her family from Kenya! ๐ฐ๐ช Lauren read the book โMoja Means One,โ teaching the first graders how to count to ten in Swahili. But the fun didnโt stop thereโshe and her children also taught the class a Swahili counting song and a movement song! To top it all off, Lauren shared a traditional Shuka, worn by Maasai men. What a wonderful way to experience the beauty of Kenya right in a Lincoln classroom. Thank you, Lauren and family, for this unforgettable experience!
