The Watertown School District is holding a school board election on Tuesday, June 18th in the Watertown Civic Arena. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

The last day of school tomorrow is an early dismissal (12:20). Please make sure your student(s) know where they are going after school. Thank you for sharing your children with us this past year. We have enjoyed working with them. Enjoy your summer!


The Watertown School District is hosting an open house for the public to stop and see Roosevelt Elementary on Monday, May 20th from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Please join us for a look around before the school year is out.

Parents, next week the Watertown Optimist Club along with Codington County Extension Service and the Watertown Police Department are once again excited to offer bike safety to our children. They will be inspecting bicycles for safety concerns and promoting safe bicycle riding for McKinley Students on May 14, 2024 at 3:20pm.
Immediately following school dismissal, the Watertown Optimist Club and Watertown Police Department will be the south bike rack to inspect bikes for safety concerns. They will also fill out forms in case their bikes are lost or stolen. Students who have their bicycle inspected will get a coupon from Papa Murphy’s and get their name in a drawing for a free helmet sponsored by the SD Emergency Medical Services for Children.
Please send bicycles with your children on May 14, 2024 for the 3:20pm inspections.

Hayden Thomas is the winner of the McKinley Elementary PTO Scholarship. Hayden plans to attend USD for BioChemistry. Congratulations Hayden and best wishes at college!
