Welcome back from the three-day weekend! We are excited to begin our Attendance Awards this week! Each teacher will draw a student to win a Buffalo Wild Wings free kids meal coupon. To be eligible, the student must have had to be in school all week. Each month, the grade-level with the best attendance will win a pizza party or other treats! Thank you for recognizing the value of attendance and making school a priority for your family!
This week in preschool the students did 'Buddy Painting' with their friends. The kiddos had the chance to explore paint and create one large masterpiece together. They had a BLAST getting messy and forming friendships!

Mellette parents, if your child is registered for summer school, this is your reminder that it starts tomorrow, Tues., June 6. The first session is at 8:30 and the second at 10:30. Attached is a calendar and drop-off/pick-up instructions. If you have questions please call Mellette School. See you tomorrow!
The Watertown School District will be conducting an emergency planning drill on Tuesday, May 30th in the morning from 8 AM – 12 PM. The district offices will be closed for the morning to the public. The public is asked to avoid the area of the high school as much as possible during these hours, as an influx of emergency responders will be present. We appreciate the cooperation of law enforcement and other first responders to assist the school district in it’s safety planning.
The Watertown Chamber will be hosting a candidate forum on Tuesday, May 30 at 6:00 PM in the DD Miller Auditorium at Watertown High School. Candidates for school board and city council will be present for this forum.
The public is invited to an Open House celebrating the 2023 retirees from the Watertown School District from 3:45-5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17th in the Watertown High School Commons.
