The Watertown School District is holding a school board election on Tuesday, June 18th in the Watertown Civic Arena. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

WMS--The South Dakota State Assessments in reading, math, and science start next week. Please visit with your child about the importance of doing their best, as well as a good night's rest and breakfast. Remind them that their test scores are part of their school record and can impact the classes they take. WMS--We will be officially launching our eSports club in cooperation with the Boys and Girls Club! There is an informational/sign up meeting on Thursday at 5:30 at the Club. eSports, which includes games like Smash Bros., Rocket League, Fortnight, Madden, and others, is one of the fastest-growing teen activities in the country! WMS 8th Grade Parents--Reminder! The registration information meeting for the parents of 8th graders is TONIGHT, Monday, March 4th at 6:00 pm in DD Miller Auditorium.
We are expanding and now limited to 180 students accepted into our driver education program. Once we fill to capacity, the registration will be closed. Student must be 14 years old by 09/30/2024. Driver Education classes and driving will be held at the Watertown Middle School. This year we are doing an online registration, payment must be received within 1 week of your completed registration or your spot will be reopened. We have three methods of payment which will be explained in payment options (we encourage to pay online). WMS 8th Grade Parents--As hard as it is to believe, it is time to start thinking about high school! The registration information meeting for the parents of 8th graders has been set for Monday, March 4th at 6:00 pm in DD Miller Auditorium.
WMS--Reminder, conferences are on Thursday from 1 - 8. These are drop-in conferences, so no appointment is necessary...you can pop in to see any or all of your child's teachers. In the meantime (or if you don't have time), each student has been completing a student-led conference slide show to update you on their school year. Be sure to ask them to see it and don't forget to fill out the feedback form at the end!
WMS--Just a reminder February 15th is an early dismissal (12:30) with conferences to follow from 1 - 8. These are drop-in conferences, no appointment necessary. Also, be on the look out for your child's student led conference slide deck beginning on February 8th. Students have been creating a report to update you on their school year. There is a feedback form at the end that you can use to communicate with your child's advisory, teachers, and team. Don't forget there is no school on February 16 and February 19.
