2024 DRIVER EDUCATION SIGN UP
We are expanding and now limited to 180 students accepted into our driver education program. Once we fill to capacity, the registration will be closed. Student must be 14 years old by 09/30/2024. Driver Education classes and driving will be held at the Watertown Middle School. This year we are doing an online registration, payment must be received within 1 week of your completed registration or your spot will be reopened. We have three methods of payment which will be explained in payment options (we encourage to pay online). Just a reminder that February 15th will be a 12:30PM Dismissal for WHS students and Parent/Teacher Conferences will run from 1PM - 8PM. February 16th and 19th will be NO SCHOOL .

We have started receiving phone calls regarding Drivers Education. Please be patient and stay tuned…a notification will be sent out through the school app on Monday, February 26th at 8:00a.m. with the details. There will be 180 slots available on a first come, first served basis. Reminder that participants must be 14 before September 30th, 2024.
There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 15th in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. day. WHS will also have a 12:30PM dismissal on Friday, January 19th for Teacher In-service.

WHS Families! Just a reminder that next Thursday, November 9th is a 12:30pm early dismissal as we host parent-teacher conferences from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Watertown High School. NTHS teachers will host conferences in their main building. Representatives from LATC will be available to share information and answer questions about the Build Dakota Scholarship. There will be no school on Friday, November 10th for Veterans Day.
WHS Sadies Dance will be held this Saturday. Doors open at 6PM if you wish to take pictures and the Grand March beginning at 8PM, students will line-up at 7:40PM. The public is invited to watch the Grand March, cost is $2 per person at the door. The theme this year is Roaring 20's.
WHS Fall Play is coming up.
Our school is taking part in the 2023 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) on Monday, October 30th. This survey is sponsored by the South Dakota Department of Health and asks 9th through 12th grade students about health behaviors including nutrition, physical activity, injuries, and tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use.
