πΊπΈ On Friday, our 3rd graders had special visitors from the American Legion! Members came to our classrooms to teach students about flag etiquetteβhow to show respect for the flag and why it is important. Our students loved learning and asking questions, and we are so thankful to the American Legion for sharing their time and knowledge with us! β€οΈπ€π

πβ¨ Huge thanks to First Bank & Trust for their generosity! Every 3rd grade student at Lincoln received a brand-new book today. What an amazing gift to spark a love of reading!

π Learning is FUN in Mrs. Wientjesβ 3rd grade classroom! πβ¨
Students played a syllable game where they read a word, broke it into syllables, and then moved their token on the game board the same number of spaces. This hands-on activity helped them practice reading skills while having a blast!

β¨ Teamwork + Problem Solving = Marshmallow Towers!
Students in Mrs. Griffithβs 3rd grade class took on a STEM challenge: build the tallest tower using only spaghetti noodles, tape, and one marshmallow on top!
Each group worked together, tested out ideas, and used problem-solving strategies to create their structures. It was an exciting mix of creativity, teamwork, and perseverance. π
