👮‍♂️ Kicking it with Officer Yurkovich! 🚓⚽️ A big shoutout to the amazing Watertown Police Department for always going above and beyond for our kids! Officer Yurkovich joined our 4th graders for an epic game of kickball during morning recess. Our officers regularly stop by to connect and play with the students, making such a positive impact on their day. We’re so grateful for their dedication to building strong relationships with the community—especially the future leaders right here at Lincoln Elementary! 🏆🙌

On Friday, Mrs. Hanson's third graders tackled a fun and challenging math activity by planning a seating arrangement for game night! Guests could choose to play one of four different games, each requiring a different number of players: Game A had 2 players, Game B had 4 players, Game C had 5 players, and Game D had 10 players. The students had 16 identical tables, and each table could seat one person on each side. Using the multiplication skills they’ve been practicing, students worked together to plan the seating while considering the number of players and tables available. This hands-on project was a great way to connect math to real-life problem-solving!

This past Wednesday, Mrs. Griffith's class had the pleasure of welcoming a special guest reader, Lauren, who is home on leave with her family from Kenya! 🇰🇪 Lauren read the book “Moja Means One,” teaching the first graders how to count to ten in Swahili. But the fun didn’t stop there—she and her children also taught the class a Swahili counting song and a movement song! To top it all off, Lauren shared a traditional Shuka, worn by Maasai men. What a wonderful way to experience the beauty of Kenya right in a Lincoln classroom. Thank you, Lauren and family, for this unforgettable experience!
